Today I received an issue of Time Magazine dated next week! Have the publishers of Time finally invented a form of “Time Travel”?
———- from Dick Newton of Auburn Hills, MI
They certainly have. Actually, all the credit doesn’t go to Henry Luce’s relatives. Time Magazine has secretly collaborated with Radio Shack and the Sony Corp. to come up with a way of sending printed material into the future. It all started when Sony came up with Beta, the video recording system. It seems that images recorded on Beta are easily Time Shifted. For a more complete explanation, read your VCR owner’s manual. Well, sir, Radio Shack employes with Time on their hands (so to speak) began stuffing old Time magazines into the slots of VCRs and finding that when they pressed “eject” , they got next week’s issue. These clever fellows sold their secret to the publishing industry and suddenly there were Radio Shacks in every mall in America. Unfortunately, Beta’s now out there with the Adam computer in has-been land. The memories, the memories.
