I’m fourteen years old and my whole life is computer games. Every hour I’m not in school, I’m playing the new CD-Rom games, with their detailed graphics and complicated story lines, or I’m using the modem to tap onto the internet, where there are even more games and bulletin boards. I can’t seem to find any time to do my homework. Can you give me any advice?

You sound like another latchkey kid with absent or otherwise self-absorbed parents, seeking human companionship from the Intel Inside. If I were you, I’d call the Department of Human Services and have your parents arrested. There could be a lot more happening in your formative years than chasing virtual reality around a fourteen inch monitor. Have you tried sports? The visuals are great, and there are three dimensions to horse around in. You can even meet other people in the process. Maybe even girls. And forget about homework. Nobody ever learned anything doing homework.
