Why are all babies cute and then they grow up to be not-so-cute?

Well, if you ask me, babies are as unattractive as they are uninteresting, unless you happen to be their parents. In the case of parenting, certain hormones flow in abundance from the “pons idiosa,” a walnut-sized gland located directly between the ears. These hormones drastically impair judgment and allow the parent to view a shriveled, helpless proto-human as “cute.” As we grow older, hormones become less important and our interest eventually turns to pension plans and retirement accounts. This is called maturity. Believe me, it’s not pretty, much less cute.
