Do people with flat noses inhale more second hand smoke than people with longer noses?
———- from Brandy Oakes of Monroe, OR
No, because flat-nosed people simply have their nasal ductwork inside their heads. Sub facial nostrils secretely do the work that long nosed people perform out in the open. Incidentally, the nose was developed as a filter for smoke from cooking and heating fires. Primative cavemen had a third eye where the modern nose makes its home. This eye eventually became subcutaneous, and wandered northward, where it resides today, in the center of the forehead. Now that smoking if virtually illegal, look for this third eye to resume its rightful place in the center of the face. The nose itself will probably simply drop off when this happens.
