I often hear of things that are neither here nor there. Does science know where they went?
———- from Ryan W. of Arcadia, CA
Not only does science know where they went, it was science that sent them there. Occult science, that is. You see, the practice of hiding things in another dimension began in the middle ages when three warring tribes — the “Hithers”, the “Thithers” and the “Yons” — fought for possession of the windswept coast of some medieval kingdom. The battle’s outcome was finally decided by sorcery, and the victorious Hithers banished the the vanquished Thithers and Yons to a dark underworld. I want to make it clear that this is not the dimension of lost socks, ballpoint pens and bellybutton lint. That is another dimension entirely, Ryan. But this is the place mentioned in the Beatles song “Here There and Everywhere.” If you’d like to know more, just play the song backwards at 45rpm. As if you youngsters even know what 45rpm is anymore.
