Your friends are just being nice. They probably think of you as hideous pathetic mutants. Nature abhors nothing more than a tall woman and a squat man. Genetic science cries out against it, for their offspring would be tragic misfits, unwanted by either the ecto- or mesomorphs of this world. So, when you want the straight dope, you can’t turn to your family or friends. They’re too invested in the status quo. If you want your feelings hurt, turn to science. That’s what we’re here for.

The earth’s atmosphere is 79% nitrogent and 20% oxygen. If I found myself in a place where the air hadn’t mixed well, and it was all nitrogen, how would I find the oxygen molecules, since both gases are invisible?
