Kung Fu potatoes, the Chinese equivalent of hash browns, had been a breakfast staple for dynasties, but suddenly, you couldn&#8217;t cook or eat a potato without risking being branded a turncoat. Even today, the tradition continues, as a way of keeping a resentment against the Crown alive.
